Ross D. Siragusa founds the Transformer Corporation of America. By 1929, it becomes one of the world's largest suppliers of radio parts. Siragusa rebuilds after the Great Depression, purchasing the "Admiral" trademark for just $200. The company is formally incorporated as Admiral Corporation of America. Admiral introduces the Aeroscope Radio an early example of the company's commitment to bringing well-designed, accessible electronics to everyday households. Admiral receives the Army-Navy "E" Award for outstanding wartime production one of the highest honours for manufacturing contribution during World War II. The iconic "Smart Set" branding debuts. Admiral opens its first international factory in Toronto, Canada the start of a global presence that would eventually span Mexico, Italy, Taiwan, India, and over 110 countries. Admiral launches the Petite Portable Table Radio and the Triple Thrill a combined radio, phonograph, and television unit that brought multi-media entertainment into the home for the first time. The same year sees the launch of the Deluxe Table Radio, the Smart Set TV, and Admiral's first Electric Cooker extending the brand further into the kitchen. Admiral launches the Phonograph & Radio Combo and the Portable Radio with Dual Speakers continuing to innovate in home entertainment with products designed for quality sound and convenience. Admiral reaches over 14,000 employees with operations in 110 countries. Revenue exceeds $414 million. The product range expands to include air conditioners, and the iconic "America's Smart Set" slogan becomes a household phrase. Admiral introduces the Duplex Freezer Refrigerator a side-by-side design that becomes a staple of modern American kitchens and reflects the brand's growing leadership in home appliances. Admiral enters the microwave oven market, embracing yet another emerging kitchen technology and helping to make microwave cooking accessible to the everyday home. Admiral Corporation of America revitalises operations with regional headquarters in Dubai and Singapore, expanding into clean energy solutions alongside its core appliance heritage. Admiral relaunches in Venezuela through the Mundo Total partnership, and enters the Indian market.
